How the Bricks Were Laid
"When the Tigers Broke Free" is sourced from Echoes, but it cuts off before the second verse starts, instead giving away to "In the Flesh?", with the "we came in" portion removed at the start, to provide a sudden shift in tone, hitting the listener hard like a brick (no pun intended). "The Thin Ice" is unedited. "Another Brick in the Wall (Reminiscing)" ends earlier, and instead crossfades into "Goodbye Blue Sky", which, in turn, crossfades into "The Happiest Days of Our Lives". "Another Brick in the Wall (Education)" and "Mother" are both unedited.

"Welcome to the Machine" is sourced from Wish You Were Here, but it ends a minute earlier. The car revving sound WTTM plays during a shortened edit of the intro to "Young Lust", taken from the Italian single mix, before it transitions into the album version. "One of My Turns" is unedited. "Don't Leave Me Now" is slightly trimmed down, transitioning into "What Shall We Do Now?", sourced from the soundtrack fan edit and thereby replacing "Empty Spaces" before leading into "Another Brick in the Wall (Drugs)". "Goodbye Cruel World" remains unedited.

"Hey You", "Is There Anybody Out There?", "Nobody Home" and "Vera" are all unedited. "Bring the Boys Back Home" transitions into "The Final Cut" from the album of the same name, before that also transitions into "Comfortably Numb".

"The Show Must Go On" is an edit between the album version and the long version that restores the unused first verse, sourced from the soundtrack fan edit. "In the Flesh", "Run Like Hell", "Waiting for the Worms" and "Stop" are all unedited. "The Trial" cuts off before the sound effect of the wall being destroyed, which instead gives away to the sound effect from the movie version of "Outside the Wall", taken from the soundtrack fan edit. Amidst the sound of the remains of the wall being cleared away, the movie version of "Outside the Wall" plays, giving the album a bittersweet, but hopeful, ending.
